How community assemblies work?

1.Choosing People: Find people from different parts of your community. Try to make sure the group looks like your community in terms of age, background, and other characteristics.

2. Learning Together: Everyone in the group gets information about what they’ll be talking about. This can be from books, experts, or videos.

3. Talking Things Over: Everyone discusses the issue. It’s not about winning an argument; it’s about listening to each other and understanding different views.

4. Making Decisions: The group decides what to do, This could be by everyone agreeing, or by a vote

5. Doing What Was Decided: The group works to make their decision happen. This could be by telling local government what they decided or starting a project in the community

6. Looking Back: After it’s all done, the group talks about what worked well and what could be better next time.

This way, people in the community get to have a say in decisions that affect them, and everyone learns more about other people’s views and experiences.
